It won't fit the knobs we normally use the last few years (except the POT) but if you choose this option we will put the older style knobs on your pedal. They make it easy to turn the knob with your foot. If you want more than one, you can add them to your shopping cart from the Accessories - Pedal Parts menu.

Description Technical Specs

Analog Man produces the Beano Boost. This pedal is based on the Dallas Rangemaster, a type of BOOSTER, not really a distortion pedal nor a clean boost. It excites certain frequencies and pushes your amp to allow it to create rich, crunchy tube distortion. A must have!!!

Features
Beano Boost requires optional power jack in order to use any power supply. Power jack is optional because it works and sounds best with a battery. If you get the power jack option, then we can also sell you a nice quiet power supply for it. No reverse polarity issues on the power jack, normal isolated 9V boss type will work. We don't just add a power jack, as that would be pretty noisy, we also add power filtering circuitry to the power jack connection to reduce power supply noise. Please use only an ISOLATED power supply with these pedals, sharing power can cause noise and other issues.
The optional on/off volume pot allows disconnecting the battery by turning the volume all the way down. Then you can leave the pedal in your pedalboard without having to worry about unplugging the input cable to keep the battery from draining. This is not available on the Mini Beano Boost as it does not use a battery.

New for 2013! MINI BEANO BOOST

I am not a fan of tiny pedals as I have human size feet, but some people really like them. They are also great when using loop-based switchers. So Analog Alex built up some Mini Beano Boosts for a customer request. No room for a battery but they work fine on a good power supply. Also the ON/OFF volume pot is not available for the mini as there is no battery to save by turning it off.

We are charging a little more than the normal Beano Boost with power jack, as it takes quite a bit of delicate labor, and only certain transistors will fit.

5 of 5 Wow. It’s as good as people say it is. January 3, 2023
Reviewer: Wes from Atlanta, GA United States
Just got one of these and cannot believe how good it sounds.  It’s everything folks say it is.  And then some.

Initially, I put it behind some buffered pedals and thought I was going to have to return or flip it.  Really harsh and tinny.  Then I read some more and put it after my ge fuzz but before everything else.  I was blown away.

Responds great to guitar volume and sounds killer.  Worried it’s going to make my other dirt pedals irrelevant.  My first Analogman purchase.  It won’t be my last.  Thanks!

5 of 5 Just buy a Beano Boost already. November 8, 2021
Reviewer: Michael from Kansas City
I'd tried overdrive after overdrive to push my more lightly-gained amps, especially my Vox AC15, and every pedal either did too much (totally changed the amp) or too little (hardly added anything).  The Beano Boost was exactly what I needed the whole time.  The way it pushes an amp into maximum rock'n'roll while retaining the amp's character is incredible.  Put a Beano Boost in front of any light- to medium-gain amp and listen to it transform into a fire-breathing, infinite-sustaining, solo-singing, midrange-ripping crunch monster.  And if you've already got your amp cooking, hit it with the Beano, and all that extraneous fizz and flub will tighten up into a vocalized laser of tone for your solos.  Mick Ronson with Bowie, Marc Bolan with T. Rex, Tony Iommi with Sabbath, and, best of all, Brian May with Queen are all waiting in this pedal.

5 of 5 Beano Boost Vs Other Treble Boosters February 11, 2021
Reviewer: Rakesh Rai from Singapore, Asia Singapore
I have tried this Beano with other True Bypass Treble Boosters. The rest are pricier and don't truly justify. Some to name are: - BSM Treble Boost, Soulsonic Custom 4Banger, Rory Gallagher's The Hawk by Flynn Amps, UK, and a few more.

All I can say is that the Beano Boost has its own character. Every nuance of your playing style is noticeable, meaning it reacts to your style of guitar playing. 10/10 for the Beano with Strats/Teles. Has an Awesome low volume growl with my Bareknuckle pickups. Good job Mike!

5 of 5 Twist & Toggle-The Beano is Primo!!! February 9, 2021
Reviewer: I Love Fuzz from Los Angeles
The Beano boost has an amazing range. By twisting the volume and toggling between tones, the Beano has a wide variety of uses on it's own. My Beanos are stock and they sound proper with all guitars and amps, put in their path!!! The Beano also plays well with other pedals!! With the Beano supplying a little bit of color on the front of the chain, everything sounds sweet and complete! Thanks again Analogman for another colorful tone box of molten sonic Fuzz!!!

5 of 5 Absolute gold. November 13, 2020
Reviewer: Dave Andrews from Buckinghamshire, England.
This pedal will take you the tonal place you wanted to be, even if you didn't know it.
Playing it feels like coming home.
The Beano does beautifully what other pedals pretend to do, and it sounds like the real thing, because it is the real thing - without the gimmicks, the advertising or the commercial dishonesty.
It has a warmth that is difficult to describe, and offers a palette of tones from your volume knob alone.
Absolutely blown away.
Thanks Analogman!
