Description

Analog Man carries the Ernie Ball VP JR. Volume Pedal 6181. Has a 25K pot for active instruments, with buffered effects, or expression pedal use. Optional Analog Man buffer.

Features

VP Junior 25K

New compact design allows more floor space. The potentiometer has a 25k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of buffered, active, or line level instruments. Not for use with passive guitar signals in line before the amp input unless the BUFFER is added. Works in some effects loops.
Behind the jack area under the footplate is a micro taper switch which provides the user two distinct volume swell rates.
A tuner output is provided and allows silent tuning when the pedal is in the heel down position.
The main pivot shaft is of centerless ground 1/2' diameter stainless steel, precision seated though nylon bushings at both ends. Tough long lasting Kevlar cable transmits pedal travel to the controls and is attached by stainless steel springs.

For use as an expression control pedal, also buy the HOSA Insert Y-Cable.

This pedal is 3.5" wide x 10" long x 2.25" tall.
The normal size Ernie Ball pedals are 4" W x 11" L x 2.5" H.

We can also add the Analog Man Buffer into the pedal. It goes before the volume pot so your signal will not get loaded down, and makes the Ernie Ball output nice and strong - no more tone sucking! See our buffer page for more info.NOTE : The pots in these can make a little noise when you run them with active circuitry like our buffer. So if you are playing in a quiet church with a cranked 100 Watt Marshall, you may hear some noise when you move the pedal up and down.

Bad Bob Booster addition

We can build the Bad Bob into the Ernie Ball VP Jr 25K volume pedal (6181), with a bypass switch and a power jack. The Bad Bob is a great buffer so when it's ON, you don't need any other buffers before the 6181. No power is needed if you turn the toggle DOWN to bypass the Bad Bob. Why have an expression pedal insert on your booster and have two pedals on your board, if you can do it in one?

There is a short demo on Facebook. The delay is being used for a buffer when the bad bob is off. It�s not needed when it is on as the bad bob is a very good buffer. Note the sparkly Bad Bob clean-up when the guitar is turned down:

Works how it should.

I googled ernie ball's volume pedal and noticed a lot of people complaining about the tone sucking. I found this demo video and clicked the link in the description and got here. I ordered it, received it and tried it . Works exactly like demonstrated in the video. Also it was really well packed upon arrival. You get a nice sticker, a card and a thank you note. I recommend buying this pedal for sure.
