We carry some unplated vintage style brass ends (per Eric Johnson and Jim Weider). We are changing over to the silver color (nickle plated) ends now though as they seem to be easier to use and don't need cleaning after several years.
About all we have left in brass are a few long "stretch" straight plugs.
We may send either type. If you need one or the other, call first to confirm we have them, and then put a note on your order that you want brass or nickle.

You can build the GL's cables yourself with just a small screwdriver, or we can assemble them for you for $5 per cable. Just select 'assembly' on your cable order & you can add a description of how you would like them assembled in your order comments.
The GLs straight ends are excellent, I recommend them if you have room for a straight end. We also have the MASTER SERIES ends for a very reliable, heavy duty right angle end.
If you want to use small right angle ends to save space on your pedalboard, you might want to look at the pancake patch cables we sell. They are even more low profile than the GLs and very reliable.
Here's some info on assembling the 90 degree ends:
Cut the end flush, push it in to seat it on the pin, bend the cable at a
90 degree angle and thread the cap on but just get it started don't
tighten it yet. Then *let go of the cable and let it spring back up to a 45 degree angle before tightening the cap.*
This makes all the difference in the world. By allowing the cable to
spring back to a 45 degree angle rather than tightening the cap while
the cable is bent 90 degrees, you accomplish two things. First, the
diagonal cut of the cap through the plastic covering provides MUCH
better strain relief than if the cap cuts in straight down, and makes
the cables much more reliable. You also get more surface area of the
cap contacting the cable ground, again making for a more stable, quieter
and more reliable connection.
